Tour Details

The valley of Langtang is protected as the Langtang National Park. Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just north of Kathmandu. A visit to the Langtang valley offers an opportunity to explore Tamang villages to climb small peaks and to visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. The sacred lake of Gosaikund is one of the main attractions here. Thousands of Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrims visit the lakes during a full moon festival in August. Crossing the holy Gosaikund Lake is another way of reaching Helambu from Langtang, while remaining at reasonable altitudes.
