The trek takes you across challenging terrain, including Doya Ri at 5,300 meters, Pola Valley, and the Rongbuk Glacier, where you’ll experience up-close views of Everest’s North Face. You’ll also visit the base camps of Everest and Cho Oyu, offering unparalleled perspectives of the world’s highest mountains. This journey blends adventure with cultural immersion, ending with a scenic drive back to Nepal. Itinerary

Day 1Flight to Lhasa

Begin your journey with a flight to Lhasa, arriving at the gateway to Tibet. Enjoy the scenic views of snow-capped peaks as you descend into the “Roof of the World.” After landing, settle into your hotel and take time to acclimate to the altitude. Rest up for an exciting adventure ahead!

Day 2Sightseeing in Lhasa - Potala Palace and Sera Monastery

Today, visit the iconic Potala Palace, a symbol of Tibetan Buddhism and former residence of the Dalai Lama. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features exquisite murals, sacred statues, and incredible views over the city. In the afternoon, explore Sera Monastery, known for its vibrant debates between monks on Buddhist philosophy. You’ll witness their unique debating style, which is both insightful and lively. Return to your hotel in the evening for a restful night.

Day 3Sightseeing in Lhasa - Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street

Begin the day with a visit to Jokhang Temple, the holiest temple in Tibet and an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists. Inside, marvel at the golden statue of the 12-year-old Buddha, one of Tibet’s most sacred relics. Afterward, stroll along the bustling Barkhor Street, which surrounds the temple. This traditional marketplace is filled with shops selling Tibetan handicrafts, prayer wheels, and local artifacts. Spend the evening relaxing in Lhasa before tomorrow’s journey.

Day 4Drive to Shigatse

Today, drive to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city, following the scenic route along the Lhasa River. The 4-5 hour journey takes you through stunning landscapes of rolling hills and traditional villages. Upon arrival in Shigatse, visit the Tashilumpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama. This ancient monastery features golden stupas and prayer halls filled with monks chanting prayers. Overnight at a local hotel in Shigatse, with time to explore the surrounding area.

Day 5Drive to Kharta, Set Up Camp

Leave Shigatse and head towards Kharta, a remote village near the base of the Everest region. After leaving the highway, drive on rugged mountain roads that bring you closer to Kharta, where your trekking crew will have the first camp set up. The camp provides spectacular views of several Himalayan giants, including Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Mount Everest. Spend the night camping under the stars, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Himalayas.

Day 6Trek Towards Mountain Ranges (4-5 Hours)

Your trek begins with a 4-5 hour hike towards the mountain ranges, with dramatic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. As you ascend, you’ll be treated to stunning panoramas of both Mount Everest and Makalu, two of the world’s tallest mountains. The route passes through lush meadows and rolling hills, providing a serene environment to take in the beauty of the Himalayas. Overnight at camp, where you can enjoy the crisp mountain air.

Day 7Trek to Tangmoche (4-5 Hours)

Today, continue your trek to Tangmoche, located at an altitude of 4,350 meters. The 4-5 hour hike takes you deeper into the high-altitude Tibetan wilderness, with awe-inspiring views of distant glaciers and towering mountain peaks. The trail winds through alpine pastures, offering glimpses of local wildlife and rare flora. Arrive at Tangmoche by late afternoon and set up camp in a picturesque location, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Overnight camping.

Day 8Trek to Sagar (4-5 Hours)

Embark on a 4-5 hour trek to Sagar, located at approximately 4,800 meters. The ascent is gradual but steady, offering beautiful views of the high-altitude plains and dramatic mountain backdrops. The landscape becomes more rugged as you gain elevation, with rock formations and glacial streams lining the trail. Arrive at the camp in Sagar, where you’ll rest for the night under the vast Tibetan sky. This is a perfect spot to observe the stars in the clear mountain air.

Day 9Trek to Pola Valley via Doya Ri (7-8 Hours)

Today is a challenging but rewarding trek as you ascend to Doya Ri at 5,300 meters before descending into Pola Valley. The 7-8 hour hike offers some of the most spectacular views of the entire journey, with sweeping vistas of the Himalayas and deep valleys below. The trail crosses high ridges and winds through rocky terrain, providing a sense of remoteness and adventure. Overnight at camp in the serene Pola Valley, surrounded by towering peaks.

Day 10Trek and Drive to Everest Base Camp (3 Hours Trek)

After a 3-hour trek, you will meet your vehicle and drive to Everest Base Camp, located at 5,150 meters. The drive provides incredible views of Everest and the surrounding mountains. Once at base camp, set up camp and spend the evening surrounded by the world’s tallest peaks. This is a truly humbling experience as you stand at the foot of Mount Everest. Overnight at camp, where the sheer magnitude of the Himalayas will leave you in awe.

Day 11Excursion to Rongbuk Glacier

Today, take an excursion to Rongbuk Glacier, one of the largest glaciers in the Everest region. The trek offers unparalleled views of Mount Everest’s North Face, with the glacier providing a dramatic foreground. Spend time exploring the glacier and absorbing the rugged beauty of the surroundings. Afterward, return to Everest Base Camp for the night, where you’ll once again camp under the towering presence of Mount Everest, reflecting on the day’s adventure.

Day 12Drive to Cho Oyu Base Camp

Drive approximately 150 km from Everest Base Camp to Cho Oyu Base Camp, located at an altitude of 4,900 meters. The drive offers stunning views of the Tibetan Plateau, with vast, open landscapes and snow-capped peaks in the distance. Arrive at Cho Oyu Base Camp in the late afternoon and set up camp. Enjoy the serene environment of this remote base camp as you prepare for tomorrow’s exploration. Overnight at camp, resting in the shadow of Cho Oyu.

Day 13Excursion to Cho Oyu Base Camp (5 Hours)

Today’s excursion takes you deeper into the Cho Oyu Base Camp area. Spend approximately 5 hours exploring this remote region, which offers fantastic views of Cho Oyu, the world’s sixth-highest peak. The trail offers relatively easy trekking, but the altitude makes it a challenge. Marvel at the towering glaciers and rugged landscapes before returning to camp. Overnight at Cho Oyu Base Camp, where you can rest and enjoy the quiet isolation of the Tibetan wilderness.

Day 14Trek and Drive to Zhangmu

Trek back to your Driver Camp before boarding your vehicle for the drive to Zhangmu, a small town located near the Nepal border. The drive takes you through more stunning mountain landscapes, with deep valleys and towering peaks lining the route. Upon arrival in Zhangmu, check into a local hotel for the night. Overnight in Zhangmu.
