Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Paro, visit Rinpung Dzong and Paro town

Day 1: 
Arrive at Paro International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by your guide. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon visiting Rinpung Dzong, a majestic fortress overlooking Paro Valley. After exploring the Dzong, take a leisurely stroll through Paro town, experiencing local shops, traditional architecture, and the tranquil ambiance of this beautiful valley. End the day with a relaxing evening at your hotel.

Day 2Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

After breakfast, embark on a half-day trek to Bhutan’s most iconic landmark, the Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang). The monastery clings to a cliff, offering breathtaking views of the valley below. The hike will take around 5 hours round trip, with stops for tea at a local café en route. Return to Paro in the afternoon and enjoy some free time to explore or relax at your hotel.

Day 3Drive to Thimphu, visit Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong

Start the day with a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, passing through beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, visit the National Memorial Chorten, a religious structure built in honor of the third king. Later, explore the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and religious authority. Spend the evening enjoying Thimphu’s peaceful city vibes, dining at a local restaurant.

Day 4Explore Thimphu’s markets, Buddha Dordenma, and Folk Heritage Museum

Discover Thimphu’s local markets, where you can find handmade crafts, textiles, and traditional art. Visit the towering Buddha Dordenma statue, offering stunning views of the valley, and explore the Folk Heritage Museum to learn about Bhutan’s rural traditions. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure, strolling through Thimphu’s streets or visiting local cafés.

Day 5Drive to Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong, and Chimi Lhakhang

After breakfast, drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan, passing through Dochula Pass with its panoramic mountain views. Visit the grand Punakha Dzong, situated at the confluence of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers. Later, take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, a temple known for fertility blessings. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 6Return to Paro for departure

Begin your return journey to Paro, with scenic stops along the way. Upon arrival in Paro, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before your departure from Bhutan. End your trip with fond memories of Bhutan’s rich culture, landscapes, and serene environment.
