This 56 km cycling loop starts from Thamel and takes you through Bhaktapur toward the hill station of Nagarkot. The route features a steady climb, passing through traditional villages, farmlands, and forested trails. Highlights include the peaceful Nagarkot Waterfall and the serene Buddha Peace Park. After taking in panoramic Himalayan views, the return journey descends via the historic Changunarayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before heading back to Thamel. The ride takes about 6 to 8 hours and offers a perfect mix of adventure, natural beauty, and cultural heritage. Best done between October and March for clear mountain views.
