Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. If you arrive early, we can arrange a half-day tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you’ll explore the former Royal Palace, the Living Goddess Temple, and Kasthamandap Temple, known for being built from a single tree trunk. After breakfast, we begin a day of exploration, starting with the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu sites, located on the sacred Bagmati River. Though admission to the temple is restricted to Hindus, we can view it from across the river. You will also witness the Hindu cremation rituals. Next, we head to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist shrines in Asia. Following lunch, we visit Patan City, renowned for its arts and crafts, and stroll through its Durbar Square, where intricate carvings adorn palaces and temples.
